Matric and O Level, side by side

Configuration, never a fork

A profile sets the level ladder, term structure, grading scheme, attendance model and the vocabulary itself. Every value stays editable afterwards.

Parent portal for schools

One login for every child a family has at your institution — attendance, diary, homework, results, notices and document requests, on a phone as easily as a laptop.

The daily view

What a parent wants to know takes one screen

The home screen answers the four questions a parent actually has each day: was my child marked in, what was set, what is due, and has the school told me anything. Everything else is one tap further in.

  • Today’s attendance, the class diary and homework due
  • Notices, upcoming events and unread messages
  • A child switcher for families with several children enrolled
  • One account even where children are at different campuses

A parent can act without phoning the office

Most of what a front desk spends its morning on is a parent trying to tell the school something. Leave applications, acknowledgements, meeting bookings and document requests all move into the portal.

  • Apply for leave, with dates, reason and an attachment
  • Acknowledge notices that require it, and see what is outstanding
  • Book a parent-teacher meeting slot
  • Request certificates, upload required documents, update contact details

Results and progress

The report card arrives without a paper chase

Date sheets, admit cards, published assessment marks, results and report cards all reach the portal as they are released — and a re-check request is a workflow with a status rather than a phone call.

  • Date sheet and admit card ahead of the exam
  • Published scores, running averages and teacher comments
  • Results and downloadable report cards and transcripts
  • Re-check requests with a tracked status

Boundaries

A family sees their own children, and nothing else

Access is derived from the guardian relationship on the student record, including the court-order flags, so a restriction set by the registrar takes effect in the portal rather than depending on anyone remembering it.

  • Only linked children, and only where information sharing is permitted
  • Court-order and custody restrictions honoured automatically
  • Rate limits, session timeouts and a full action audit
  • Every feature can be switched off institution-wide if you do not want it

The rules it enforces

A parent portal holds children’s data. These are the constraints that keep it contained.

Linked children only

Access comes from the guardian relationship on the student record, and only where that relationship is marked as receiving information.

Court orders are enforced

A custody restriction removes that guardian’s access to the child in the portal, rather than relying on staff discretion.

No cross-family leakage

A guardian cannot reach another family’s child through any route, including shared class content.

Age gating

Below a configurable age the student portal is read-only or disabled entirely, by policy.

Everything is audited

Portal actions are recorded, which matters when a parent disputes what they were told and when.

Features are switchable

Two-way messaging, leave applications and document requests can each be turned off institution-wide.

How it works in your country

How families expect to reach a school differs by market, and the portal follows.

Pakistan
  • WhatsApp as the primary alert channel
  • Urdu interface and Urdu notice text
  • Login by phone number, since email is less universal
United Kingdom
  • Email-first communication and app push
  • GDPR access and erasure rights exposed to the parent
  • Separate accounts per parent, each with independent consent
United States
  • FERPA-aligned education-records access
  • Guardian accounts reflecting custody documentation
  • Immunisation and forms compliance visible to the family
Gulf
  • Arabic interface with right-to-left layout
  • Bilingual notices and report cards
  • Emirates ID or Iqama on the family record

What it prints

  • Report cards and transcripts as downloadable PDFs
  • Issued certificates, on request from the portal
  • Date sheets and admit cards
  • A communication log per guardian
  • Acknowledgement reports showing who has not responded

Who sees what

  • Parent — everything above, for their own children
  • Student — an age-appropriate version of the same, for themselves
  • Teacher — what they publish reaches the portal; threads stay within policy
  • Front desk — sees the same requests, from the staff side
  • Principal — acknowledgement rates and outstanding requests

Works with

The portal is a window onto modules rather than a module that holds data of its own.

Questions about parent portal

Do parents with several children need several logins?
No. One guardian account covers every child linked to them, including children at different campuses of the same institution, with a child switcher at the top of the screen.
Is there a mobile app?
The portal is mobile-first and works in a phone browser, which is what families use day to day. Native parent, student and teacher apps are catalogued and on the roadmap rather than available today.
Can we stop parents messaging teachers directly?
Yes. Two-way messaging can be switched to broadcast-only institution-wide, or restricted by policy to certain roles and hours. The same applies to leave applications and document requests.
What about separated parents where one has restricted access?
Custody and court-order flags are set on the student record by the registrar, and the portal enforces them. A guardian whose access is restricted does not see that child, and the restriction does not depend on anyone remembering it.

See it the way a parent sees it

We will open a guardian account with two children on it, so you can judge the thing your families will actually use.
