One tenant, two ladders

Matric and O Level, side by side

A school running a national stream and a Cambridge stream runs both in one CampusFlo tenant β€” separate ladders, separate grading, one student record.

Configuration, never a fork

A profile sets the level ladder, term structure, grading scheme, attendance model and the vocabulary itself. Every value stays editable afterwards.

School MIS for UK schools β€” Years, GCSE 9–1, census and SEND

Reception to Year 13 with form and tutor groups, statutory attendance codes, UPN handling, GCSE 9–1 grading, SEND provision and the fields the school census asks for.

Year groups and key stages

The UK profile ships the England and Wales ladder with key stages attached to each level, and distinguishes a registration group from a teaching set β€” which most products conflate.

EYFSNursery β†’ ReceptionEarly years foundation stage
KS1–KS2Year 1–6Primary, AM/PM registration
KS3Year 7–9Form groups and teaching sets diverge
KS4Year 10–11GCSE entries and 9–1 grading
KS5Year 12–13A Level, tutor groups

Terms, grading and attendance

The UK profile sets these at setup, and each stays editable. Statutory items β€” codes, UPN, census fields β€” follow the framework rather than a preference.

Terms and year

  • Autumn, Spring and Summer terms with half-term breaks
  • Year starts September
  • INSET days recorded as staff-only working days
  • Key stage attached to each year group

Grading

  • GCSE 9–1 and A Level A*–E
  • Key stage attainment descriptors for primary
  • Attainment and effort grades recorded side by side
  • Target grades, with progress measured against them

Attendance

  • AM and PM session registration
  • The statutory attendance code set as a preset
  • Persistent absence flagged below 90%
  • Counts prepared in the shape the census expects

The words on screen are your words

Vocabulary is the fastest way to tell whether a product was built for your system or translated into it. These are the labels the UK profile applies.

What changes in each module

Applying the UK profile changes behaviour across these modules, not just their labels.

Questions from UK schools

Is this a school MIS?
It covers what a school management information system covers β€” the student record, attendance with statutory codes, timetabling, assessment and reporting, communication with parents, and the data behind statutory returns. CampusFlo is a newer entrant to the UK than the established MIS providers, and this page is here so you can judge the fit directly rather than take a claim on trust.
Does it handle UPN and the school census?
UPN is the student identifier under the UK profile, and the census fields β€” pupil, attendance, exclusions, SEN and FSM β€” are configurable exports with a validation screen before submission. Return definitions are data, so a change to the specification is a mapping change rather than a release.
How are SEND and EHCP handled?
SEN support and EHCP are stages on a need profile, with support plans carrying targets, provisions and review dates. Exam access arrangements β€” extra time, reader, scribe, separate room β€” flow into examination seating and timing. Access is restricted to the inclusion team and audited.
Does it support two-week timetables?
Yes. A/B week cycles are a period-structure option, alongside form time, registration periods and ability sets that cut across form groups β€” so a student’s own timetable merges their form group with every set they belong to.
Can it run alongside our existing MIS during a transition?
Data can be imported from spreadsheet exports with a validation preview, and statutory returns are generated from CampusFlo’s own data. Running two systems in parallel is possible for a term but is not something we would recommend beyond a migration window.

Judge the fit against your own year groups

Bring a form list, your attendance codes and a census return. Those three answer most of the questions quickly.
